Spartak Moscow shows interest in Pafos FC's Joao Correia
Spartak Moscow has identified 29-year-old Pafos FC player Joao Correia as a primary transfer target. The interest is driven by Spartak's coach, Juan Carlos Carcedo, who previously worked with the Portuguese footballer during his tenure at the Cypriot club. Reports indicate that Correia is currently considered the top priority to strengthen the team's wings.
Pafos FC officials, including General Manager Charis Theocharous, have acknowledged the interest from the Russian side but clarified that no official formal offer has been submitted yet. The club, represented by owner Sergey Lomakin, maintains that any potential transfer will only be discussed if a significant financial offer is made. The player is currently under contract with Pafos FC until 2028, and the administration expects a multi-million euro bid to consider his release.
As of now, the situation remains in the exploratory phase with no ongoing formal negotiations. Both the club and the player's future status remain unchanged as the administration awaits a concrete proposal to evaluate.
