OCECPR study reveals consumer satisfaction with mobile networks in Cyprus
The Office of the Commissioner for Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation (OCECPR) in Cyprus has published its sixth annual study on mobile network quality, based on data collected in May 2026. Conducted by Pulse Market Research Ltd, the survey involved 1,207 respondents, including 812 urban and 395 rural residents. Overall satisfaction remains high with an average score of 8.4 out of 10, a slight decrease from last year’s 8.5, which experts attribute to an increase in signal interference and service disruptions.
Key drivers for choosing an operator include pricing (46%), reliability (27%), and network coverage (24%). Among those who switched providers, 37% did so to reduce costs, while others cited better coverage (17%) and poor call quality (12%). Demographic analysis shows that residents over 70 are the most satisfied, whereas those aged 18 to 29 reported the lowest levels of satisfaction. Additionally, 58% of participants admitted to experiencing poor signal reception in specific areas.
This annual assessment helps regulatory authorities track market trends and operator performance. While overall satisfaction remains high, the report highlights a growing concern regarding signal consistency, as many users report persistent issues in certain geographical regions.
