Private vehicle destroyed by fire in Larnaca

A fire broke out in a private vehicle parked in a field beside a road in Larnaca in the early hours of Sunday, August 9, 2026. The Cyprus Fire Service was alerted to the incident at 1:19 a.m. and deployed two staffed fire engines to the scene. The blaze was successfully extinguished, preventing further spread, though a small area of surrounding dry grass was ignited. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
