Flight to Toronto canceled after child refuses seatbelt

A flight bound for Toronto from Victoria International Airport, British Columbia, was canceled last week after a child refused to remain seated and fasten their seatbelt. Airline staff and the child's parent attempted repeatedly to secure the child, but were unsuccessful, forcing the aircraft to return to the gate to disembark the pair.

The resulting delay caused the flight to exceed the airport's 12:30 a.m. curfew, leading to the cancellation of the entire flight.
