Environment commissioner visits Polis Chrysochous to discuss sustainable development

On Monday, August 10, 2026, the Environment and Animal Welfare Commissioner, Elias Myrianthous, met with the Mayor of Polis Chrysochous, Yiotis Papachristofi, to discuss regional environmental policies and sustainable development. This visit marks the second official engagement for Commissioner Myrianthous since taking office, following his recent visit to the Akamas municipality. He emphasized that these regional visits are prioritized due to the personal interest of President Nikos Christodoulides in the Polis Chrysochous, Akamas, and Tillyria regions. The Commissioner stated that his office would collaborate with the municipality and various state departments to resolve local environmental issues.
