Road maintenance and asphalt works in Nicosia and Paphos

Municipal authorities in Nicosia and Paphos have announced ongoing and scheduled road maintenance works affecting traffic flow on August 10 and 11, 2026. In Nicosia, asphalt replacement is taking place from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM across several streets, including parts of Ilias Papakyriakou, Larnakos, Kyrenias, Christodoulou Sozou, Vasileos Pavlou, and Sofouli streets. These works span multiple districts, including Engomi, Aglantzia, and the Nicosia parish of Tripiotis.

Simultaneously, the Municipality of Paphos is conducting road repairs in front of the District Administration building, with completion expected by the following day. Additionally, a segment of Nikodimou Mylona street, from the junction with Georgiou Christoforou to Kyrenia Square, is closed until Tuesday at 2:00 PM for pavement repairs. Traffic management plans have been implemented to mitigate public inconvenience.

Local authorities in both cities have requested that drivers exercise caution and patience while navigating these areas. While the Nicosia works are expected to conclude on August 11, the Paphos municipality is coordinating traffic flow adjustments based on the daily progress of construction crews. The public is advised to expect temporary traffic delays until all maintenance activities are finalized.
