APOEL Nicosia targets new signings to strengthen squad

Argentine defensive midfielder Facundo Perez has arrived in Cyprus to finalize his transfer to APOEL, marking the club's eighth signing of the summer. Club officials Zisis Vryzas and Nikos Papadopoulos are spearheading the roster overhaul, following the acquisitions of players including Limnios, Angelopoulos, Pedroso, Garcia, Sastre, Manduca, and Djuricic. The move is currently pending final procedural steps before an official announcement.

Beyond the midfield, the club remains active in the transfer market with three primary objectives: acquiring a starting-caliber goalkeeper, a creative midfielder, and a forward. The management is specifically prioritizing the goalkeeper position to provide competition for 36-year-old Vid Belec, whose contract expires next summer. While the club previously considered Yuri Lodygin, Devis Epassy, and Alexandros Paschalakis, no deal has been reached yet.
