Zanos Savva returns to Olympiakos Nicosia
Twenty-year-old Cypriot forward Zanos Savva has reached an agreement to return to Olympiakos Nicosia for the upcoming season. The left-footed attacker, who is the son of club president Petros Savva, arrives following his departure from the Italian club Torino. After failing to secure a move to a Serie B side, Savva opted to rejoin the Nicosia team, where he previously recorded four appearances during the 2021-2022 season.
Standing 1.91 meters tall, Savva is capable of playing across all attacking positions. During his time in Italy, he made two appearances for Torino’s first team in Serie A, scoring one goal. He is currently training with the squad under head coach Giorgos Kostis, aiming to restart his career following a serious injury last season. While this addition strengthens the attack, club officials indicate that further transfers, specifically for a central forward, are expected as the team builds its roster for the new campaign.
