Man arrested for domestic violence in Mia Milia

A serious incident of domestic violence was reported in the occupied village of Mia Milia. On July 17, following a verbal altercation, a man allegedly assaulted his wife, causing injuries including a ruptured eardrum in her left ear. The victim reported the incident to the authorities on August 10, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspect.

During his appearance before a court, the suspect expressed remorse for his actions. The judge, Zehra Yalkut Bilgec, ordered the man to be released pending trial under specific conditions. These include a travel ban from the occupied territories, a cash bail of 100,000 Turkish lira, and the provision of two guarantors who each signed bonds worth 700,000 Turkish lira. The investigation remains ongoing as the legal process continues toward the trial date.
