Mykonos police seize large quantity of narcotics

On Monday, August 10, 2026, the Mykonos Sub-directorate of Police conducted an operation in the Petinaros area, leading to the arrest of two men. The operation began when officers apprehended one suspect as he attempted to board his motorcycle. A subsequent search of a residence in Agios Sostis, authorized by a judicial officer, resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of narcotics and distribution equipment.

The recovered evidence includes over 500 grams of rock cocaine and more than 4.5 kilograms of raw cannabis, divided into numerous packages. According to official reports, the total street value of the confiscated substances is estimated at 120,000 euros. Authorities are currently continuing their investigation to determine the origin of the drugs and identify any connections to broader distribution networks operating on the island.
