Passenger traffic at Tymbou airport increases in the first seven months of 2026

Passenger traffic at the airport in Tymbou, located in the occupied territories of Cyprus, recorded an 8.9% increase during the first seven months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. According to data released by the Turkish operator T&T, a total of 3,378,959 passengers passed through the facility between January 1 and July 31, compared to 3,102,581 in the previous year.

Flight activity also saw a significant rise, with 22,447 landings and takeoffs recorded, representing a 9.05% annual increase. Specifically, in July 2026, the airport handled 574,000 passengers and 3,654 flights, compared to 512,105 passengers and 3,249 flights in July 2025. Statistical reports highlight that the peak growth in passenger numbers occurred in January with a 14.26% increase, while the highest rise in flight volume was observed in March at 13.29%.
