Limassol municipality announces annual Back 2 Retro Party

The Municipality of Limassol has announced the organization of its annual 'Back 2 Retro Party', scheduled to take place on Friday, September 4, 2026. The event will be held at the Old Port Square, starting at 20:30, and aims to transform the space into a large open-air dance floor. Music will be provided by DJ Asimenos and DJ Renos, who will curate a setlist featuring classic hits from previous decades. The event will also be broadcast via a live link by Kanali 6, allowing those unable to attend in person to experience the atmosphere.

According to Limassol Mayor Yiannis Armeftis, this event has become a well-established tradition over the last decade, designed to help residents transition back from their summer holidays with a nostalgic musical celebration. The gathering is supported by the Cyprus Ports Authority and sponsored by Hubeat. It is marketed as an opportunity for both older generations to relive their youth and younger attendees to discover classic retro sounds. This event officially marks the conclusion of the summer season in the city, providing a final celebratory atmosphere for the community before the autumn period begins.
