Polis Chrysochous municipality implements tourism infrastructure projects

The Municipality of Polis Chrysochous has completed a series of development projects totaling €592,838.60, aimed at enhancing local community aesthetics and boosting the regional tourism product. The initiative received significant financial backing from the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, with an approved grant amounting to €548,332.26.

The improvements span 12 municipal departments: Agia Marina Chrysochous, Gialia, Nea Dimmata, Neo Chorio, Drouseia, Tera, Kritou Tera, Chrysochou, Argaka, Pelathousa, Pomos, and Polis Chrysochous. The works were carried out under the 'Scheme for the Revival of Rural, Mountainous, and Remote Areas through the Creation of Authentic Experiences,' focusing on urban upgrading, landscaping, and public space beautification.

These interventions are designed to improve the daily life of permanent residents while simultaneously enhancing the experience for visitors to the region. The projects reflect a broader strategic effort to modernize public infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism in the Polis Chrysochous area.
