Larnaca completes major street redevelopment phase

The commercial Zinonos Kitieos Street in Larnaca, situated parallel to the popular Finikoudes promenade, has reopened to vehicular traffic following the completion of a major pedestrian upgrade. This project, which aims to revitalize the area and support local business owners, features new tree plantings, flower beds, white benches, and modern street furniture to enhance the city's aesthetics.

Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras confirmed that while the street is currently open, a final phase of construction will necessitate a partial closure after August 24. This concluding stage will extend from the Atrium Zenon Hotel to the former Ottoman Bank building and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year. Furthermore, the redevelopment of the adjacent Filiou Zannetou Street is expected to be finalized by the end of August. Despite initial challenges faced by shop owners during construction, the project has received positive feedback for its transformative impact on the city's commercial core.
