Two separate stabbing incidents in Limassol lead to police investigations

In the first incident occurring late on August 11, two men, aged 30 and 37, were arrested following the stabbing of a 44-year-old man at his home in Limassol. The victim, who is the brother of the 37-year-old suspect, suffered injuries to his head, neck, and nose. Both suspects, all of Iranian origin, were remanded for seven days by the Limassol District Court on August 13. The motives behind this attack remain under investigation as the suspects have not cooperated with authorities.

A second, unrelated stabbing took place on the morning of August 14 at a construction site in the Zakaki area. A 23-year-old man allegedly attacked and wounded his 24-year-old former employer with a knife, causing injuries to the victim's abdomen and leg. The assault followed the suspect's recent dismissal from the job. The victim was transported to the hospital by friends and underwent surgery, with his condition described as serious. As of now, the suspect remains at large, and Limassol CID has launched a manhunt to locate him while the investigation continues.
