Dusan Vlahovic joins Besiktas on a three-year contract

Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic has reached an agreement to join the Turkish club Besiktas after his contract with Juventus expired. The 26-year-old forward, who spent five years in Turin, moves as a free agent and has signed a deal that will keep him with the Istanbul side until June 2029. The negotiations were spearheaded by Besiktas sporting director Eduard Graf, who traveled to Serbia to finalize the terms with the player and his representative.

Prior to this move, Vlahovic had prioritized staying in a top-five European league and rejected offers from Saudi Arabia. His decision to join Besiktas follows extensive discussions with the club's coaching staff, including a reunion with his former Fiorentina manager. During his tenure at Juventus, Vlahovic recorded 68 goals in 168 appearances and secured one Coppa Italia trophy in 2024. This signing marks a significant offensive reinforcement for Besiktas, which recently added Leandro Trossard to its squad.

Vlahovic is expected to travel to Istanbul shortly to complete mandatory medical examinations and formally sign the documentation. His transition concludes a long-standing transfer saga where the player sought to balance his career ambitions with available professional opportunities.
