AEK Larnaca set to sign Romanian forward Atanas Trica

AEK Larnaca is in the final stages of signing 22-year-old Romanian forward Atanas Trica from Universitatea Cluj. The deal, which has been widely reported since August 11, 2026, involves a transfer fee of 50,000 euros, with the Romanian club retaining a 20% resale clause. The player, who has spent his entire career in Romania including stints at Universitatea Craiova and Steaua Bucuresti, is expected to travel to Cyprus shortly to undergo medical examinations and complete the transfer process.

Technical director Xavi Roca has identified Trica as a key target to strengthen the team's attacking depth for the current season, specifically targeting players for the club's B-list.
