Motorcyclist dies following traffic accident in Larnaca

A 22-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Andreea Larisa Harabor from Romania, has died following a serious traffic accident in the Larnaca district. The collision occurred around 17:00 on Saturday, August 8, 2026, on the road between Delikipos and Lythrodontas, involving the victim's motorcycle and a car driven by a 45-year-old man.

Following the impact, the young woman was transported to the Nicosia General Hospital with severe head injuries. She remained in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition for five days. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, she passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at approximately 11:45.

The Kofinou Police Station continues to investigate the exact circumstances and conditions under which the collision occurred. Authorities are currently coordinating the scheduling of a post-mortem examination to officially determine the cause of death.
