Luxury superyacht strikes walls of the Corinth Canal

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, the luxury superyacht Blue II was involved in a maritime incident while transiting the Corinth Canal in Greece. Footage captured by Michalis Papamanolakis from the channel 'Korinthognosia' shows the vessel struggling to navigate the narrow passage and repeatedly striking the canal's steep embankments.

The yacht, which measures approximately 56 meters in length, is estimated to be worth around 50 million dollars according to market databases. The vessel experienced clear difficulties as it maintained a very close distance to the canal walls before the collisions occurred at multiple points along its path.
