Niclas Eliasson expected to leave AEK Athens for Internacional

Swedish winger Niclas Eliasson is reportedly close to departing AEK Athens to join Brazilian club Internacional on a loan deal. The proposed agreement involves a rental fee of 300,000 euros, payable in three installments through June 2027, along with an option to purchase the player for 2.5 million euros. The acquisition fee, if exercised, is structured across four payments scheduled between September 2027 and April 2029.

Abel Braga, the technical director of Internacional, confirmed that negotiations are progressing positively, stating that a deal could be finalized imminently. Reports from Brazil indicate that the 30-year-old player is pushing for the move to his home continent. While other Brazilian clubs like Botafogo have denied interest, Santos has been mentioned as a potential contender, though the club currently faces a transfer ban.

This development follows months of speculation regarding the Swedish international's future in Greece. The transfer, if completed, would see Eliasson return to South America, ending his tenure with the Athens-based club. Both the player and the Brazilian management are currently working to finalize the remaining administrative details of the transfer agreement.
