Olympiacos BC announces the signing of Mbaye Ndiaye

Olympiacos BC has officially announced the acquisition of 27-year-old Senegalese forward Mbaye Ndiaye on a two-year contract. The deal was finalized following ASVEL Villeurbanne's financial difficulties, which necessitated the departure of the player despite a recent contract extension that had been announced by the French club in July.

Ndiaye, who stands 2.04 meters tall, brings significant EuroLeague experience to the Greek champions, having spent the previous season as a core rotation player for ASVEL. During the last regular season, he appeared in 32 games, recording averages of 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting 69.7% from two-point range. His defensive capabilities, athleticism, and rebounding skills are expected to bolster the Olympiacos frontcourt, filling a specific need identified by the team's coaching staff for more interior versatility.
