Olympiacos BC officially signs Mbaye Ndiaye

Olympiacos BC has officially announced the signing of 27-year-old Senegalese forward Mbaye Ndiaye on a two-year contract. The club triggered a six-figure buyout clause to secure the player from ASVEL Villeurbanne, taking advantage of the French club's current financial difficulties. Ndiaye, who is expected to arrive in Athens on Sunday, August 16, joins the Piraeus team to provide depth in the frontcourt and serves as a replacement for Alec Peters, who has departed for Olimpia Milano.

Ndiaye is coming off the most productive season of his career, during which he averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 1.2 steals across 32 EuroLeague games. Known for his defensive versatility, physicality, and efficiency near the rim—boasting a 69.7% two-point shooting rate—he is expected to complement Sasha Vezenkov in the rotation under head coach Giorgos Bartzokas. This acquisition marks the club's third major addition of the summer following Cody Miller-McIntyre and Jean Montero. While the roster is largely set, club management has not ruled out further adjustments before the start of the upcoming season.
