Company car damaged in suspected arson in Limassol
A company vehicle parked outside the residence of a 62-year-old man in Limassol was targeted in a suspected arson attack shortly after midnight on August 13, 2026. The fire, which authorities believe was set maliciously, caused minor damage to the vehicle's front left tire.
Upon discovering the fire, the owner of the vehicle acted quickly and managed to extinguish the flames using a handheld fire extinguisher before the arrival of the Limassol Fire Department. Emergency services, including the local police department, arrived at the scene shortly thereafter to secure the area.
The site remains cordoned off as police continue their investigation. Further forensic examinations are expected to be carried out throughout the day to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify the perpetrators involved.
