Seven-year-old boy murdered in Ohio

A seven-year-old boy, William Evans, was found dead in a closet at his home in Ohio. The child, who had developmental disabilities, was discovered bound with tape. Authorities have arrested his 38-year-old mother, Kaitlyn Evans, along with her partners, 23-year-old Nessa Kinney and 33-year-old Kirby Rankin, who lived in the same residence.

Hamilton County coroner Lakshmi Sammarco stated that the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head. Law enforcement officials testified in court that the child had been subjected to severe abuse, including burning, beatings, and water torture. Officer Kyle Smith, who has 21 years of experience, characterized the scene as one of the most depraved cases of child abuse he has ever encountered, noting injuries across the victim's body.

The investigation into the death is ongoing. While investigators have confirmed the cause of death, they are also exploring the possibility that the boy was subjected to sexual abuse as part of the broader criminal inquiry. The suspects remain in custody as the legal proceedings continue.
