AEK Larnaca reaches agreement with German midfielder Sven Kohler

AEK Larnaca FC has announced a preliminary agreement to sign German midfielder Sven Kohler. The player is expected to join the Cypriot club on a two-year contract, pending the successful completion of mandatory medical examinations. He is scheduled to arrive in Cyprus within the next 24 to 48 hours to finalize the transfer process.

Kohler, who has not been linked to the team in previous media reports, brings significant experience to the squad. His career includes stints in the youth systems of Borussia Dortmund, VfL Bochum, and Schalke 04. Furthermore, he has played for professional clubs such as SV Lippstadt 08, VfL Osnabruck, SC Verl, Odense BK, and Eintracht Braunschweig. His most recent appearance was with Grasshoppers before moving to the Larnaca-based team.

This signing represents the eleventh addition to the AEK roster for the upcoming season. The club confirmed the deal on August 13, 2026, aiming to strengthen their central midfield options as they prepare for the new campaign.
