Larnaca municipality announces 2.3 million euro road improvement program

The Municipality of Larnaca announced an investment exceeding €2.3 million for road maintenance and infrastructure upgrades scheduled throughout 2026. This comprehensive plan aims to improve road conditions, enhance safety, and upgrade the quality of life for both residents and visitors.

As part of this initiative, the municipality has signed a contract worth €758,566 with Iacovou Construction Ltd for milling and asphalt paving works. These specific operations cover municipal districts including Larnaca, Livadia, and Voroklini. The work is scheduled to commence immediately and is expected to reach completion by the end of 2026. These new tasks follow previous road maintenance projects carried out earlier in the year, which totaled approximately €1.61 million. In total, the cumulative investment for 2026 reflects the city's ongoing efforts to modernize its transport network through combined past and upcoming projects.
