Update on health status of victims in recent Cyprus violent attacks

Ahmet Tan, a 47-year-old Turkish Cypriot who was assaulted in Ayia Napa on July 5, remains in serious condition. Hakan Dincyurek, acting as the 'minister of health,' reported on August 13 that there has been no improvement in Tan’s health status, with a comprehensive medical report expected within the next 48 hours. Three 18-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the attack.

Simultaneously, health officials addressed the status of a 26-year-old woman who was the victim of an attempted murder on August 3 at a supermarket. The victim remains intubated and is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. Authorities continue to monitor both cases closely, though the incidents occurred under different circumstances and at different locations.
