Euro hits record low against the Albanian lek

Furthermore, economic data from the Bank of Albania for the first quarter of 2026 shows a 28% reduction in the current account deficit, which settled at 228 million euros. While this decline is part of a longer-term trend that emerged early in the year, the current summer period has intensified the pressure on the euro exchange rate.
