Limassol sewage network construction reaches 85 percent completion
The Limassol District Self-Government Organization announced that the construction of a sewage network for government settlements has reached 85% completion. As of August 2026, work is primarily focused on the Mouttagiaka self-housing area, with finishing touches, such as domestic connections, underway in Pano Polemidia.
Work is already 100% complete in the settlements of Omonia, Agios Spyridonas, Agios Ioannis, Agios Nikolaos, as well as in the self-housing areas of Kato Polemidia and Agia Fyla. Construction in Pano Polemidia has exceeded 95% completion, while the Mouttagiaka project stands at approximately 25%. In total, the project covers 270 streets, with work finished on about 230 of them. A partial handover of the project occurred in October 2025.
The project is proceeding toward a scheduled completion date of February 11, 2027. Authorities continue to coordinate the final phases of infrastructure development to ensure all residential areas are integrated into the new sewage network as planned.
