Limassol sewer network project reaches 85 percent completion
The Limassol District Local Government Organization (EOA) has announced that construction of the sewage network for government housing settlements has reached approximately 85 percent completion. The project encompasses work across roughly 270 roads, with construction already finished on approximately 230 of them. The final delivery of the entire project is scheduled for February 11, 2027.
Work is fully complete in the Omonia, Agios Spyridonas, Agios Ioannis, and Agios Nikolaos settlements, as well as the Kato Polemidia and Agia Fyla self-housing areas. Construction in the Pano Polemidia self-housing area has surpassed 95 percent, while current primary operations are concentrated in the Mouttagiaka self-housing area, which is currently at approximately 25 percent progress. Partial delivery of the project occurred in October 2025, covering the Omonia, Agios Spyridonas, Agios Ioannis, and Agia Fyla areas. The ongoing infrastructure upgrades are intended to improve sanitation and living conditions for local residents, despite the temporary disruptions caused by the remaining construction activities.
