Prominent Cypriot physician Dr. Panagiotis Pamboridis passes away at 95
Dr. Panagiotis Pamboridis, a distinguished otorhinolaryngologist and a key figure in the Cypriot medical community, passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 95. He was known for his long-standing professional career at the Pamboridis Clinic in Nicosia, as well as his later interest in amateur painting. His death was confirmed by his son, George Pamboridis, a DISY Member of Parliament and former Minister of Health.
The loss of Dr. Pamboridis has elicited tributes from across the medical and political spheres. The Cyprus Medical Association (PIS) and the Cyprus Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery praised his decades of dedicated service and his foundational role in the development of the specialty on the island.
