Maria Erokina competes in the 200-meter breaststroke at the 2026 European Aquatics Championships

Maria Erokina concluded her participation in the 200-meter breaststroke event at the 2026 European Aquatics Championships in Paris on August 13, finishing in 21st place out of 24 competitors. The swimmer recorded a time of 2:31.76, failing to advance beyond the preliminary heats. This performance follows her previous entry in the 100-meter breaststroke, where she placed 36th with a time of 1:10.04.

Erokina has one remaining event at the tournament, the 50-meter breaststroke, scheduled for Saturday, August 15. The Cyprus Swimming Federation has formally commended her efforts and extended best wishes for her final appearance. Meanwhile, the Cypriot delegation continues its participation in the championships on August 14, as Kalia Antoniou prepares to compete in the 50-meter freestyle event, which features a total of 54 registered swimmers.
