Jared Kushner plans potential visit to Israel and Egypt regarding Gaza roadmap

Jared Kushner, the son-in-law and special envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, is reportedly planning a trip to Jerusalem next week to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip. The visit is currently under discussion, according to a U.S. official who spoke on the condition of anonymity following reports by Axios. The potential diplomatic mission follows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent rejection of the proposed American roadmap for the Gaza region.

Kushner is expected to be accompanied by Nickolay Mladenov, the High Representative of President Trump's "Peace Council" for Gaza. Beyond the meetings in Jerusalem, Kushner also intends to travel to Cairo to hold discussions with representatives from Qatar and other nations involved in mediating the conflict in Gaza. The U.S. official emphasized that while there are disagreements regarding the specific roadmap, Washington and Israel maintain a shared vision for the desired outcome in the region and will continue to collaborate on unresolved concerns.
