Italian police recover three stolen masterpieces near Parma

Italian police from the cultural heritage protection unit have successfully recovered three valuable artworks stolen from the Magnani Rocca Foundation in Mamiano di Traversetolo, near Parma. The theft occurred overnight between March 22 and 23, when two masked intruders entered the building through a window and completed the heist in under three minutes. Police released surveillance footage of the operation as part of their complex investigation overseen by the Parma Public Prosecutor's Office.

The recovered works include Paul Cezanne's "Still Life with Cherries" (valued at 6 million euros), Pierre-Auguste Renoir's 1917 oil painting "The Fish" (valued at 3 million euros), and Henri Matisse's "Odalisque on the Terrace" (valued at 20,000 euros). In total, the recovered collection is estimated to be worth over 9 million euros. While the authorities have confirmed the recovery of all three pieces following an extensive search, they have indicated that further information regarding the investigation and the perpetrators will be released later.
