Presidential residence in Troodos to host third annual festival

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the presidential summer residence in the Troodos Mountains will open its doors to the general public. The site serves as the venue for the third annual 'Let’s Go Troodos' (Pame Troodos) festival, which will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The event, spearheaded by First Lady Philippa Karsera-Christodoulides, aims to promote local culture, heritage, and regional businesses.

The festival program features local artisans, small-scale producers, and craftspeople showcasing products from Cyprus's mountain regions. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample traditional cuisine and enjoy a variety of activities, including live music, traditional poetry contests, and specific entertainment for children. The event is organized through a collaboration between the Office of the First Lady, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, the Office of the Commissioner for Mountain Community Development, and the Press and Information Office.

Beyond cultural promotion, the initiative serves a charitable purpose, as all proceeds and voluntary contributions generated during the festival will be donated to support a designated children’s home. The festival has become an established tradition, offering citizens rare access to the protected presidential facility while fostering support for the local economy of the mountain communities.
