Borussia Dortmund targets Giannis Konstantelias after failed Said El Mala transfer

Borussia Dortmund has identified PAOK midfielder Giannis Konstantelias as a primary transfer target following their unsuccessful attempt to sign Said El Mala from FC Köln. The German club reportedly offered over 55 million euros for El Mala, but the deal was rejected, prompting them to turn their attention toward the 23-year-old Greek international. Dortmund’s advisor, David Blaha, personally scouted Konstantelias during PAOK's recent European match against Anderlecht in Brussels on August 13, 2026.

Reports indicate that negotiations between Dortmund and representatives of the player have already commenced. The proposed deal is valued at approximately 25.5 million euros, with a potential annual salary for the player reaching 3 million euros. While Dortmund considers other options like Ez Abde, Moleiro, Asllani, and Christopher Nkunku, Konstantelias remains a priority.
