Deadly attack reported in North Kordofan as Sudan conflict intensifies

On Friday, August 14, 2026, an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the town of Um Aranda in Sudan's North Kordofan state resulted in at least 14 civilian deaths and dozens of injuries.
