Aris FC secures transfer of goalkeeper Ricardo Velho from Farense

Aris FC has reached a full agreement with the Portuguese club Farense for the acquisition of 27-year-old goalkeeper Ricardo Velho. The transfer process, which initially involved negotiations for a potential loan, concluded with the Greek club deciding to purchase the player's rights outright. The deal is valued at 3.5 million euros.

Velho, a Portuguese international managed by Jorge Mendes' agency, previously played on loan for Genclerbirligi in Turkey, where he made 24 appearances last season. His career includes 106 appearances for Farense and a background with Braga. The goalkeeper is expected to arrive in Thessaloniki on Sunday to undergo medical examinations. Upon successful completion of his physicals, he is set to sign a four-year contract with Aris, effectively addressing the team's vacancy in the goalkeeper position.
