Olympiacos secures Remo Freuler and nears agreement for Nair Tiknizyan

Olympiacos has finalized the signing of 34-year-old Swiss midfielder Remo Freuler on a two-year contract. Freuler, a free agent who previously played for Bologna, arrived in Athens on Saturday evening following a successful negotiation. The midfielder, who was part of the Swiss national team at the recent World Cup, has already passed his medical examinations and will soon join Jose Luis Mendilibar’s squad.

In addition to the signing of Freuler, Olympiacos has reached a formal agreement with Red Star Belgrade for the transfer of Armenian left-back Nair Tiknizyan. The deal is valued at over 5 million euros, and the 27-year-old player is scheduled to arrive in Athens on Monday morning to undergo medical tests and sign a four-year contract. These moves are part of a broader effort by the Piraeus club to strengthen its roster ahead of the new season.

Following these acquisitions, the club is also reportedly focusing on negotiations for other potential targets, including striker Armando Gonzalez. Club officials aim to solidify the squad's depth, with current reports indicating that additional defensive or midfield adjustments may occur as the transfer window concludes.
