Imad Faraj transfers to Esperance Tunis from Neftchi Baku

French winger Imad Faraj, aged 27, is set to join the Tunisian club Esperance Tunis following a finalized agreement with his current team, Neftchi Baku. The transfer marks the end of his tenure in Azerbaijan, where he moved last summer for a fee of 700,000 euros.

During his time with Neftchi Baku, Faraj recorded seven goals and six assists in 34 appearances. Prior to his spell in Azerbaijan, he was a key figure for AEK Larnaca in Cyprus, where he played from 2021 to 2025. Over those four years, he made 158 appearances, contributing 23 goals and 23 assists. His career also includes previous stints at Lille in France and Mouscron in Belgium.

The deal signifies a new chapter for the Franco-Moroccan player as he joins the most successful club in Tunisia. All involved parties have reached an agreement, allowing the player to finalize his move and begin his tenure with his new team immediately.
