Thousands of fans pay tribute to Bonnie Tyler in Wales

Thousands of fans gathered in the streets of Mumbles, a village in Wales, to pay their final respects to the iconic Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. As her coffin, draped in the Welsh flag, passed through the village, mourners threw flowers and sang her signature ballad, "Total Eclipse of the Heart." Tyler, known for her distinctive raspy voice and blonde hair, passed away on July 8 at the age of 75 at her home in Portugal.

The singer's health had declined earlier this year after she was admitted to a hospital in Faro in early May for emergency bowel surgery, subsequently being placed in an induced coma. Born in 1951 in Skewen near Swansea, she maintained a strong connection to her roots throughout her career.

Her funeral is scheduled for Monday at the Swansea Cathedral, where she will be laid to rest. A private ceremony for close family and friends will follow the public funeral service, allowing her loved ones to mourn in a more intimate setting.
