Syrian man detained following stabbing incident in Limassol
A 39-year-old Syrian man was arrested and placed in six-day police custody following a violent incident in Limassol on the evening of Friday, August 14, 2026. According to local police, the suspect attacked another 39-year-old Syrian man with a sharp object, believed to be a knife, at approximately 8:30 p.m. The victim sustained a laceration to the face and was transported to Limassol Hospital by ambulance. After receiving medical treatment, he was discharged.
