Police update on missing persons and wanted suspects in Nicosia

Cypriot authorities have released urgent updates regarding several individuals in Nicosia. A 15-year-old girl, Sotiroula Oikonomidou, has been reported missing from her residence in Aglantzia since August 16, 2026. Separately, police are seeking the public's help in locating 40-year-old Romanian national Iulian Mircea Stoebac, who has been missing from his home in Palouriotissa since August 8, 2026, with a formal report filed on August 16.

In addition to the search efforts, police are actively hunting for 43-year-old Xenios Dimitriou in connection with a series of serious offenses, including building burglary, vehicle arson, and reckless driving, committed in the Nicosia district between August 14 and 17, 2026. Furthermore, authorities are searching for 46-year-old Michalis Andreou to facilitate ongoing investigations into serious offenses committed in the Larnaca district during July 2026.
