Dubai BC continues pursuit of Olympiacos guard Thomas Walkup

Dubai BC, the newest member of the EuroLeague, maintains its interest in signing Olympiacos guard Thomas Walkup. Dejan Kamenjasevic, general manager of the Dubai club, confirmed in an interview with Mozzart Sport that the team is actively searching for a point guard to fit coach Xavi Pascual's system. Kamenjasevic stated that any potential transfer remains contingent upon reaching an agreement with Olympiacos or the player being released from his existing contract.

Previous reports indicate that Dubai BC had offered Walkup an annual salary of 3 million euros, while their proposed transfer fee to Olympiacos was approximately 1 million euros, which was rejected by the Greek club. Walkup currently has one year remaining on his contract with Olympiacos. The Dubai management is aiming to finalize their roster additions within the next 10 to 15 days, as the team is scheduled to begin its pre-season training on August 24, 2026.

Kamenjasevic noted that the club had pursued other targets in the market but missed out on them due to competitive bidding, citing a recent example of a player joining Crvena Zvezda. The club's recruitment process continues as they seek to align new signings with their salary cap and team structure.
