Paphos municipality completes intensive road improvement program
The Paphos Municipality has successfully concluded an intensive two-to-three-month road infrastructure program aimed at repairing major traffic arteries that had suffered from long-term neglect. The project focused on rehabilitating damaged road surfaces characterized by potholes and wear, specifically targeting critical routes such as Petridia Avenue. This avenue connects the Viofos junction to Emba Avenue, serving as a vital link for western Paphos, surrounding communities like Tala, and providing access to the Paphos-Limassol motorway.
Additional improvements were carried out on the central avenue of Anavargos and in the vicinity of the Paphos hospital. Acting Mayor Angelos Onisiforou confirmed that these renovations are part of a broader commitment to restore the town's road network. Authorities have indicated that maintenance efforts will continue, with plans to systematically address all remaining damaged sections throughout the municipality to ensure safer and more efficient traffic flow for residents and commuters.
