Cyprus announces €1.7 million grant scheme for international trade exhibitions

The Cypriot Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry has opened applications for a €1.7 million state grant scheme aimed at supporting local businesses at major international trade exhibitions in 2027. The program, which operates under de minimis rules, seeks to enhance the extroversion of Cypriot companies, facilitate their entry into foreign markets, and boost total exports.

Applications are open until September 18, 2026, and are available to businesses involved in the processing or trading of industrial and agricultural products, as well as related service providers. The scheduled exhibitions for 2027 include Fruit Logistica in Berlin (February 3–5), ProWein in Dusseldorf (March 7–9), Gulfood in Dubai (March 15–19), and Anuga in Cologne (October 9–13). Applications must be submitted to the Product Trade Promotion Section at the Ministry's office in Nicosia.

The Ministry has clarified that participation in these specific exhibitions is not guaranteed. The actual attendance of the national pavilion depends on receiving an adequate number of applications from businesses and the final approval of the allocated budget. Any applications submitted after the deadline will be rejected as late.
