Olympiakos Nicosia signs Estonian striker Rauno Sappinen

Olympiakos Nicosia has officially completed the signing of 30-year-old Estonian international striker Rauno Sappinen from Flora Tallinn. The player has signed a contract for one year with an option for an additional year. Sappinen, who has been capped 65 times for his national team with 17 goals, arrives with a significant career record, having surpassed 200 goals at the club level and serving as the all-time top scorer for Flora Tallinn in the Estonian championship with 149 league goals.

The striker is well-acquainted with Cypriot football, having previously scored against Omonia and Anorthosis in European competitions and netting a hat-trick against the Cyprus national team during a friendly match last December. Before joining the Cypriot side, he gained extensive experience playing in Poland, Slovenia, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Currently in top physical condition as the Estonian league season was already in progress, Sappinen is expected to provide an immediate boost to the Olympiakos attacking line for the upcoming season.
