Paphos mayor slams unauthorized hillside excavation

Paphos Mayor Angelos Onisiforou has demanded immediate intervention to halt unauthorized excavation work occurring between Anavargos and Armos. The mayor alleges that a private landowner is exploiting the holiday period to continue extensive land leveling without the necessary planning permits. Despite three previous stop-work orders, the developer remains non-compliant, prompting the Paphos district government organization to prepare a formal suspension decree to prevent further environmental damage.
