APOEL evaluates transfer offers for Diego Rosa and Nikolas Koutsakos
APOEL is currently navigating potential transfer departures for two of its players, Diego Rosa and Nikolas Koutsakos, amid financial considerations. Regarding Brazilian midfielder Diego Rosa, the club received offers from Azerbaijani clubs Neftchi Baku and Qarabag. Neftchi initially requested a loan with no fee, while Qarabag proposed a deal involving a potential one-million-euro payout; however, due to a previous agreement with the player's former club, Bahia, which claims the first million from any sale, APOEL concluded that these offers provide no real financial benefit. Rosa has expressed a desire to leave, but the administration is holding out for more favorable terms.
Simultaneously, the club is in discussions regarding 22-year-old forward Nikolas Koutsakos. A Norwegian club has shown interest and recently returned with an improved offer. While initial reports suggested a potential sale could be worth between 500,000 and 700,000 euros, the club is not under pressure to finalize a deal immediately. Any revenue from these potential sales is intended to help settle long-standing club debts. The administration, led by Zisis Vryzas and coach Nikos Papadopoulos, continues to evaluate these proposals while focusing on the team’s ongoing squad reinforcement.
