APOEL evaluates transfer proposal for Diego Rosa
APOEL Nicosia has received an official transfer offer from an Azerbaijani club for 23-year-old Brazilian midfielder Diego Rosa. While the management has acknowledged the interest, they have officially rejected the initial financial terms, describing the bid as insufficient and not reflecting the player's market value. Rosa, whose current contract runs until May 2028, had previously expressed a desire to move to a new club, independent of his recent playing time under manager Nikos Papadopoulos.
Following initial reports that the player was not in the manager's core plans, recent developments indicate that Nikos Papadopoulos and Zisis Vryzas have held discussions with Rosa, clarifying that he remains an active part of the squad. The club maintains that they are not willing to sell a valuable asset at a low price.
Currently, the situation remains fluid, with APOEL awaiting a significantly improved offer from the Azerbaijani side. Should a more substantial proposal fail to materialize, the player is expected to continue his career in Nicosia under the current roster.
